Employment contracts are a standard for businesses in almost all sectors. As an employer, the employment contract helps you communicate new employees very clearly with your expectations. It also offers you legal protection and a document that you can refer to if an employee is arguing against your company. In the absence of a written employment contract form, an employment contract is generally implied at will. In other words, the worker can stop at any time and the employer is free to dismiss the worker at any time, as long as the basis for dismissal is not considered an illegal dismissal. In addition, an employment contract may require workers to notify a certain notice period before term, so that they can assist in the hiring or training of their replacement.
